Pixar confirmed that Woody, voiced by Tom Hanks, will return in the upcoming “Toy Story 5”, following the release of a teaser trailer on Nov. 11.

The trailer introduces a new character, a tablet named Lilypad, highlighting the theme of screen time. Woody and Buzz Lightyear, voiced by Tim Allen, are shown reacting to the arrival of the new toy.

“Toy Story 5” is scheduled for release in theaters in summer 2026. Returning cast members include Hanks and Allen, while new voices will feature Ernie Hudson and Conan O’Brien.

The film continues Pixar’s tradition of exploring contemporary themes while maintaining its signature blend of humor and emotional storytelling. The teaser suggests that Woody, Buzz, and the other toys will face challenges brought on by modern technology.

The Toy Story franchise, spanning more than two decades, is known for its inventive plots, memorable characters, and family-friendly appeal. “Toy Story 5” is expected to build on the legacy of its predecessors, offering audiences humor, heart, and fresh adventures.
