East-side stabbing leaves woman hospitalized after escape

SAN ANTONIO, Texas — A woman is recovering in a hospital after escaping a stabbing incident that occurred on the east side of Houston.

Police have stated that the suspect, a 32-year-old woman, is now in custody.

The victim was found with several stab wounds and was immediately transported to a nearby hospital.

Medical personnel have described her condition as stable following emergency surgery.

The authorities have not yet disclosed the motive behind the attack. However, they are pursuing all possible leads and have urged anyone with information to come forward.

An eyewitness, who requested to remain anonymous, described the event as shocking and terrifying. “We heard screams and saw someone run from the house,” the witness said. “Police and ambulances arrived not long after.”

Law enforcement officials are conducting a thorough investigation.

They have cordoned off the area to gather evidence and conduct interviews with those who may have seen or heard anything unusual.

The identity of the victim has not been released, pending notification of family members.
