A straight-sets victory propelled Novak Djokovic into the third round of Wimbledon on Thursday, continuing his pursuit of a record-breaking 25th Grand Slam title.

Djokovic defeated British player Dan Evans in just one hour and 47 minutes on Centre Court. The Serbian tennis star dominated the second-round match with a commanding 6-3, 6-2, 6-0 win.

The victory keeps Djokovic on course to surpass the all-time Grand Slam singles record of 24 titles held by Margaret Court. He currently shares the record with Court and is aiming to claim sole possession of the milestone at this year’s tournament.

With Thursday’s win, Djokovic maintains his strong form at the All England Club as he seeks another Wimbledon title and adds to his legacy in the sport.
