SEOUL, South Korea — Jung Eun-woo, a South Korean actor known for his roles in Welcome to Waikiki 2 and Bride of the Sun, has died at the age of 39.
According to Korean media outlets Chosun Daily and Star News, Jung was found dead on Wednesday, February 11. The cause of his death has not been disclosed.
His passing has prompted tributes from colleagues and fans. His final Instagram post, dated February 10, drew attention for featuring images of himself alongside late celebrities Amy Winehouse and Leslie Cheung. In the post, Jung wrote in Korean: “Missing, envy, regretting,” accompanied by the phrase “PIR.BG.”
Jung appeared in several popular K-dramas, including Five Fingers, My Only One, and The Return of Hwang Geum-bok. He was also known for his relationship with actress-model Park Han-byul.
