SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio Spurs star Victor Wembanyama will appear on the cover of NBA 2K27, ESPN reported Wednesday.

The 22-year-old center earns the honor after leading the Spurs to the 2026 NBA Finals, where San Antonio lost to the New York Knicks in five games.

In his third NBA season, Wembanyama averaged 25.0 points, 11.5 rebounds and an NBA-best 3.1 blocks per game, further establishing himself as one of the league’s top players.

Wembanyama becomes the third Spurs player to appear on a version of the NBA 2K cover, joining Tony Parker, who headlined the French edition of NBA 2K16, and Pau Gasol, who appeared on the Spanish edition of NBA 2K17.

The NBA 2K franchise has previously featured several of basketball’s biggest stars on its cover, including Allen Iverson, Shaquille O’Neal, Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Carmelo Anthony, Michael Jordan and Jayson Tatum.

The official announcement from 2K Sports has not yet been released.
