The University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) has unveiled the first-round schedule of basketball competitions for Season 88, with action set to tip off on September 20, 2025.

Host school University of Santo Tomas (UST) will open the games at the Quadricentennial Pavilion Arena, following the official opening ceremony on September 19 at the UST Field.

Among the most anticipated matchups is the renewal of the Ateneo-La Salle rivalry, scheduled for September 27 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

The men’s basketball tournament will once again spotlight intense competition among the participating universities, all vying for the championship crown. The women’s basketball tournament will begin on September 24, while the juniors’ division will also follow its first-round schedule.

The release of the schedule marks the start of another exciting season of collegiate basketball, with fans eagerly awaiting the return of UAAP action on the court.
