SAN ANTONIO, Texas– Houston authorities discovered two individuals deceased in an apartment on Randolph Boulevard during a welfare check.
Police responded to concerns about the residents and arrived at the northeast side location.
Upon entering the apartment, officers found a 32-year-old woman dead, reportedly killed, and a 33-year-old man who had apparently taken his own life.
Officials reported that the man had barricaded himself in a closet before being found dead from a self-inflicted wound.
The incident also involved children who were present in the apartment. The children had been secured in a bathroom but were unharmed when found by the police.
Police are conducting interviews and collecting evidence to gather more information.
Authorities have not released details on the relationship between the two deceased individuals.
