President Donald Trump has renewed calls for a special prosecutor to investigate the 2020 presidential election, which he again described as a “total fraud.”

Trump made the announcement on his social media platform, Truth Social, where he also highlighted differences between his administration’s immigration policies and those of the current government.

Despite Trump’s persistent allegations, multiple courts dismissed numerous lawsuits challenging the 2020 election results due to lack of evidence.

State audits, including a review in Georgia, confirmed no widespread fraud capable of altering the election outcome.

Trump’s demand for a special prosecutor echoes his long-standing claim that the 2020 election was stolen from him, a narrative that continues to resonate with many of his supporters despite official findings to the contrary.

After facing indictment in 2023 related to efforts to contest the election, charges were dropped following his return to the presidency.
