Former senator Antonio Trillanes IV filed plunder complaints against former president Rodrigo Duterte and Senator Christopher “Bong” Go in connection with P7 billion worth of infrastructure projects in Davao City.
The complaints were lodged with the Office of the Ombudsman in Quezon City. Trillanes accused Duterte and Go of violating the Plunder Law, the Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act, and the Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials.
The allegations center on the handling of infrastructure projects during Duterte’s tenure as mayor of Davao City. Trillanes raised questions over transparency and accountability in the approval and implementation of the projects.
Duterte and Go have not yet issued public statements responding to the allegations. The Office of the Ombudsman has also not released comment on the filing.
