In San Antonio, Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph will host the Great Texas Airshow on May 2–3, offering the public a free opportunity to watch aerial demonstrations by U.S. military teams, officials announced. The event will open at 11 a.m. each day, with the main performance by the Thunderbirds scheduled for 3 p.m.

The airshow will feature the United States Air Force Thunderbirds, also known as the U.S. Air Force Air Demonstration Squadron, which performs precision maneuvers using F-16 fighter jets. The United States Army Golden Knights will also perform skydiving demonstrations. The team has conducted aerial stunts since 1961.

Organizers have set this year’s theme as “Let Freedom Roar; Honoring 250 Years.” Admission is free for all attendees.

Officials advised visitors to bring hearing protection and their own seating, such as lawn chairs. Prohibited items include ice chests, non-clear backpacks, and pets that are not service animals.
