HOUSTON, Texas–Thousands of protesters are set to gather across Texas on Saturday to oppose President Donald Trump’s immigration policies. Organizers have scheduled more than 60 rallies statewide as part of a coordinated nationwide demonstration.

Activist groups leading the protests aim to spotlight concerns about ongoing immigration crackdowns. Major cities including San Antonio, Houston, and Austin will host rallies throughout the day.

These demonstrations come after recent Trump administration actions that increased immigration enforcement efforts. Protesters plan to voice opposition to policies such as mass deportations and workplace raids.

Local law enforcement agencies are preparing to manage public safety and traffic around protest sites. Demonstrators intend to march peacefully, carrying signs and chanting slogans opposing the administration’s immigration stance.

Similar protests will take place simultaneously in other states, forming part of a larger national movement against current immigration enforcement tactics.

Activist leaders urge widespread participation to send a strong message to policymakers. They encourage citizens to engage in democracy and advocate for more compassionate immigration reform.

The protests coincide with ongoing legislative sessions focused on immigration, aiming to increase pressure on lawmakers to consider alternative policy approaches.

Authorities have increased security near government buildings and key locations ahead of the demonstrations. They remind attendees to remain peaceful and respectful while exercising their right to assemble.

Organizers have coordinated with community leaders and police to secure permits and ensure the rallies proceed in an orderly and safe manner.

The national movement against the administration’s immigration policies continues to gain momentum, with significant turnout expected in Texas this weekend.
