HOUSTON, Texas– Texas lawmakers have passed new legislation targeting water conservation, energy policies, and environmental hazards, set to become law pending approval by Governor Greg Abbott.

The Texas Legislature approved measures addressing water conservation, aiming to bolster the state’s water supply management.

The legislation includes initiatives to improve energy efficiency across various sectors in Texas.

Lawmakers also focused on mitigating environmental hazards to protect public health and safety.

The bills will become law unless Governor Abbott exercises his veto power.
