ZAGREB, Croatia –A teenager’s attack in Zagreb’s Precko Elementary School results in the death of a 7-year-old girl and injuries to five children and a teacher.
Croatian authorities have confirmed the arrest of the perpetrator who is a teenage boy.
Police said the teenage boy, moved into a classroom and commenced the assault.
Initial reports from the police described the use of a “sharp object” during the attack.
The Prime Minister of Croatia, Andrej Plenkovic noted that such school attacks are rare in the country.
The Prime Minister, along with the broader Croatian public, has responded with condolences and support for the affected families.
