Taylor Swift led the nominations for the 52nd American Music Awards (AMAs), receiving eight nods across major categories, according to the official nominee list released for the awards show.
Swift was nominated for Artist of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Music Video, Song of the Summer, Best Female Pop Artist, Best Pop Song, and Best Pop Album. She holds the record as the most awarded artist in AMA history.
Morgan Wallen, Olivia Dean, Sabrina Carpenter, and Sombr each received seven nominations, while Lady Gaga and Ella Langley each earned five nominations.
The American Music Awards ceremony is scheduled to take place on May 25 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Queen Latifah will host the event.
Swift’s nominations include “The Life of a Showgirl” for Album of the Year and “The Fate of Ophelia” for Song of the Year and Best Pop Song. She is also nominated for Best Female Pop Artist and Best Pop Album.
Other major categories include Artist of the Year, where nominees include Bad Bunny, Bruno Mars, BTS, Harry Styles, Justin Bieber, Kendrick Lamar, Lady Gaga, Morgan Wallen, Sabrina Carpenter, and Taylor Swift.
Winners across multiple genres, including pop, country, hip-hop, R&B, Latin, rock, and K-pop, will be announced during the ceremony.
