Filipino champ Tapales passes weigh-in for WBC bout

MANILA, Philippines– Former two-division world champion Marlon “Nightmare” Tapales and Indonesian boxer Jon Jon Jet successfully made weight for their WBC super bantamweight silver title clash in General Santos City.

Both fighters tipped the scales at 121.2 pounds during the official weigh-in, confirming their readiness for Sunday’s 10-round title bout.

Originally set for April 14 in Cambodia, the fight was rescheduled and relocated, now serving as the main event of a card promoted by Sanman Boxing.

The match showcases the intensity and competitiveness of the WBC’s regional title scene, with both fighters aiming to make a strong statement in the super bantamweight division.
