The Supreme Court of the Philippines has authorized the Sandiganbayan to proceed with the graft charges against Senator Jinggoy Estrada.

These charges are tied to alleged corruption involving Estrada’s Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF).

The Supreme Court’s ruling resolves pending legal issues and allows the Sandiganbayan to continue with the case.

The charges form part of a broader investigation into the misuse of public funds.

The Sandiganbayan, a special court handling corruption cases involving public officials, will now move forward with hearings.

Senator Estrada faces multiple counts of graft for the alleged misuse of millions of pesos in public funds.

The court’s decision permits the prosecution to present evidence and arguments before the Sandiganbayan.

Estrada has denied all allegations and maintains his innocence.

The Sandiganbayan will schedule hearings and examine the submitted evidence as the case progresses.
