Paramount Pictures released “Scary Movie 6” in theaters on June 10 across multiple locations, bringing back original cast members Anna Faris, Regina Hall, Marlon Wayans, and Shawn Wayans as the studio continues the horror parody franchise with a new installment centered on a Ghostface-inspired storyline.

The film follows Sara Campbell, portrayed by Olivia Rose Keegan, the estranged daughter of Cindy Campbell. Dave Sheridan returns as officer Doofy, the franchise’s first Ghostface character, who targets Sara in the new story. Cindy Campbell, played by Anna Faris, reunites with Brenda, Shorty, and Ray, played by Regina Hall, Marlon Wayans, and Shawn Wayans, respectively, as the group becomes involved in the unfolding events.

The production continues the franchise’s format of parodying horror film tropes. It marks the return of the core ensemble, who last appeared together in earlier entries of the series released in the early 2000s. The new cast also includes additional actors portraying supporting roles connected to Sara Campbell’s storyline.

The film’s release adds another installment to the “Scary Movie” franchise, which began in 2000 and has continued with periodic sequels featuring changes in cast and storylines while maintaining its focus on horror film parody.
