The driver suspected of being intoxicated at the time of the crash was taken into custody by police officers at the scene. According to initial findings, the driver faces charges of intoxication manslaughter. Officials confirmed that the driver was operating the vehicle in a manner that endangered others on the road. Authorities did not release further details about the driver’s identity.

Emergency services arrived promptly at the crash site to assess the situation. They provided immediate medical assistance to those involved. The severity of the impact necessitated a coordinated response from various emergency units in the area. The deceased victim was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel. The incident disrupted traffic flow on the Northeast Side as authorities conducted their investigation and ensured the scene was secure.
