Sandro Muhlach, son of actor Niño Muhlach, has lodged a formal complaint with GMA Network management against independent contractors Jojo Nones and Richard Cruz. According to an official statement released on Thursday, August 1, the Kapuso network confirmed receipt of the complaint and announced the initiation of an investigation.
“GMA Network has just received a formal complaint from Sparkle artist Sandro Muhlach against two GMA independent contractors, Jojo Nones and Richard Cruz,” the statement read. “Recognizing the seriousness of the alleged incident, GMA Network had already initiated its own investigation even before receiving the formal complaint.”
The network also emphasized Sandro’s request for confidentiality, stating that the “investigating body will withhold all details of the formal investigation until its conclusion.” GMA assured the public and stakeholders that the investigation would be conducted with the “highest standards of fairness and impartiality.”
Although the specific incident was not detailed in the statement, it is noted that GMA previously addressed a blind item suggesting that two consultants had allegedly sexually abused a young actor after the network’s recent gala night. Speculation arose that this incident involved Sandro Muhlach, fueled by cryptic social media posts from Niño Muhlach and his wife about seeking “justice,” as well as Sandro’s own post referencing the “helpless.”
Sandro Muhlach comes from a prominent family in the Philippine entertainment industry. His father, Niño, transitioned from a child star to roles as a teen and adult actor. His half-brother Alonzo was also a child actor. The family includes notable figures such as Sandro’s grandmother, the “Queen of Philippine Movies,” Amalia Fuentes, and his grandfather, Alexander, a former actor.
