SAN ANTONIO, Texas– The San Antonio Zoo has introduced “WILD BITE,” a new program featuring whole prey feeding demonstrations to educate visitors about carnivorous animals’ natural feeding behaviors.
The demonstrations will include species such as large cats and birds of prey. They are scheduled throughout the day and are included with regular zoo admission.
Zoo officials stated the program is intended to provide factual information about carnivores and their role in the ecosystem. Staff will be available during the sessions to answer questions and provide context.
Feeding demonstrations will follow safety and ethical standards, according to zoo representatives. The initiative is part of the zoo’s broader efforts to support public education and wildlife conservation.
