SAN ANTONIO, Texas — Authorities detained more than a dozen people Tuesday morning after serving a warrant at a home on the city’s West Side, the San Antonio Police Department (SAPD) said.
Officers executed a DART warrant at about 9:45 a.m. at a residence in the 700 block of South San Bernardo Avenue.
SAPD said officers detained about 17 people inside the home, along with several others in the backyard. Police said everyone cooperated during the operation, and no incidents occurred.
Authorities arrested five people on outstanding warrants and other charges.
Investigators also recovered drug paraphernalia from the home, according to SAPD.
Emergency medical personnel evaluated and transported one person with a pre-existing injury. Police said the injury was not related to the operation.
SAPD said the City Attorney’s Office will offer services to the homeowner, and officials have scheduled a follow-up inspection of the property.
The investigation remains ongoing.
