MANILA, Philippines– Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla has issued an Immigration Lookout Bulletin Order for 33 officials linked to alleged anomalies in flood control projects, the Department of Justice confirmed.
The order aims to prevent the officials under investigation from leaving the country as authorities continue their probe into possible irregularities in the projects. Investigators are examining whether the officials engaged in misconduct or violated procurement and construction regulations.
Remulla’s directive marks one of his final acts as justice secretary, emphasizing the administration’s push for accountability in public infrastructure projects.
The Department of Justice has not yet released the names of the officials included in the order. Officials said updates will follow as the investigation progresses.
