MANILA, Philippines–Fresh off her victory as Reina Hispanoamericana 2025, Dia Mate is preparing for a major musical milestone: a collaboration with a prominent Original Pilipino Music (OPM) icon.

The Caviteña beauty queen and singer, who captivated judges and audiences alike with her vocal prowess during the pageant in Bolivia last month, is now setting her sights on the local music scene.

Mate’s standout performance at the international pageant, which celebrates Hispanic heritage, not only earned her the crown but also recognition for her musical talent.

Her win has since opened doors in the entertainment industry, with the upcoming project marking her first high-profile collaboration since returning to the Philippines.

While details about the collaboration remain under wraps, Mate confirmed that the project aims to blend her contemporary style with the seasoned artistry of the unnamed OPM veteran.

“I’m incredibly honored and excited to be working with someone I’ve looked up to for so long,” she said in a recent interview. “This is a dream come true, and I can’t wait to share it with everyone.”

The planned musical project is part of Mate’s broader strategy to build a career that bridges pageantry and the arts.

After months of preparation leading up to the Reina Hispanoamericana pageant, where she was lauded for both her grace and voice, Mate is now focusing on her creative pursuits, hoping to reach wider audiences through music.
