Filipino singer and actor Randy Santiago underwent cataract removal surgery at a private hospital in Manila. He was diagnosed with a cataract in his left eye after experiencing blurred vision and discomfort.
The surgery, performed in the morning, lasted about two hours. Doctors reported the procedure was successful and without complications. Santiago remained in the hospital overnight for observation.
His family confirmed he is in stable condition and expected to be discharged within 24 hours if his recovery continues smoothly.
Santiago thanked his medical team and supporters for their well-wishes. His spokesperson said he plans to resume work after a brief recovery period.
