President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. is set to personally visit evacuation centers in Metro Manila after super typhoon Carina caused severe flooding in the Philippine capital region.

Marcos was seen boarding a military truck loaded with boxes of relief goods intended for typhoon victims.

His first stop will be an evacuation center in Barangay Malanday, Valenzuela City.

Although Typhoon Carina exited the Philippine area of responsibility on Thursday morning, the storm continues to enhance the southwest monsoon, or habagat, which is expected to bring more rains over western parts of Luzon until the weekend, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
