SAN ANTONIO — Authorities are searching for a woman suspected of shooting a man while he walked his dog on the city’s north side early Thursday.

The San Antonio Police Department reported that the incident occurred around 12:30 a.m. in the 11800 block of Braesview, near Northwest Military Highway and an apartment complex.

Police said the woman approached the man and asked for money. After he refused, she pushed him, and the situation quickly escalated. At some point, she pulled out a gun and shot the man in the hand.

Officials noted that the victim did not call for help immediately, waiting nearly an hour before contacting authorities.

The suspect fled the scene before officers arrived, and police currently do not have a description of her.

Authorities said the victim is expected to recover. They are urging anyone who witnessed the incident or has information to contact the San Antonio Police Department as the investigation continues.
