MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine National Police (PNP) said Monday it has not received any warrant for the arrest of Sen. Rodante Marcoleta.

“As of now, the PNP has not received an official communication regarding a warrant,” PNP public information chief Col. Allen Rae Co said during a press briefing at Camp Crame.

Co said the police would enforce any warrant issued by a competent authority once the PNP receives it.

“Just like any other warrants, once we receive a warrant, just like any other warrant from a competent authority, we will implement,” he said.

Marcoleta earlier said that neither arrest nor imprisonment would stop him amid reports that a warrant could be issued against him.
