MANILA, Philippines– Calvin Oftana powered TNT to a 113–96 victory over Blackwater in the PBA Philippine Cup on Friday at Ninoy Aquino Stadium in Manila, scoring a game-high 25 points in his return from a hamstring injury.
Oftana also finished with two rebounds and two assists as Tropang 5G pulled away in the second half and kept control of the game to the final buzzer.
TNT built and sustained a double-digit lead as Blackwater struggled to keep pace offensively and spent most of the contest trailing.
The win boosted TNT’s position in the PBA Philippine Cup elimination round as the team continued its campaign under the league’s standard tournament format.
