PBA: Abueva becomes second-oldest to notch 40-point game

MANILA, Philippines– Calvin Abueva powered Titan Ultra to a 100–96 win over Meralco in the PBA game on Wednesday at the Ynares Center in Antipolo City, scoring 41 points to secure the victory.

The performance made Abueva the second-oldest player in PBA history to record at least 40 points in a single game, marking a major milestone in his career.

Meralco stayed competitive throughout the match but could not contain Abueva’s offense in the closing minutes. His leadership and scoring proved decisive in maintaining Titan Ultra’s strong start to the season.

The tightly contested game showcased Abueva’s endurance and skill as a veteran player and underscored Titan Ultra’s growing momentum in the ongoing PBA campaign.
