Kyle Kashuv, a junior at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School and survivor of the 2018 school shooting in Parkland, has publicly supported gun rights and called for changes to school safety procedures.
Kashuv appeared in a recent interview with Margaret Brennan, where he discussed his position on the Second Amendment and school security. He stated that policies should protect legal gun ownership while addressing vulnerabilities in school safety.
Following the 2018 shooting, several students from the school took varying positions on gun policy. Kashuv has consistently expressed support for maintaining gun rights, including communication with public officials and groups that share similar policy views.
The Texas Department of Motor Vehicles has announced that starting July 1, 2025, temporary paper license plates will be phased out in favor of metal tags.
State officials stated the move is intended to address counterfeit tag use and enhance law enforcement capabilities.
