GENERAL SANTOS CITY – Former Senator Emmanuel “Manny” Pacquiao’s family acknowledged and accepted his unsuccessful attempt to regain a Senate seat in the recent elections held on Monday.

Pacquiao’s son, Michael Stephen Pacquiao, who was announced as a newly elected city councilor on Tuesday, shared their family’s reaction to the election outcome.

Michael Stephen Pacquiao expressed that their family had anticipated a Top 12 finish for his father, who ran under the Alyansa para sa Bagong Pilipinas slate. He stated that the family was surprised by the results but has since come to terms with them.

The younger Pacquiao, now a city councilor, remarked that the family remains supportive and understanding of the election’s outcome. His comments came after he was officially declared elected in the city council.

Manny Pacquiao, a prominent figure both in boxing and politics, joined the Senate race as part of the administration-backed slate. Despite the setback, the family maintains a positive outlook toward their political endeavors.
