Overseas Voter Registration for 2028 Philippine Elections to Resume

The Philippine Consulate General in Houston is calling on qualified Filipinos abroad to take part in the upcoming Overseas Voter Registration for the 2028 Philippine national elections.

The registration period officially begins on December 1, 2025 and will run until September 30, 2027, giving overseas Filipinos nearly two years to register and ensure their participation in shaping the country’s future leadership.

The Overseas Voting program, implemented by the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) through Philippine embassies and consulates worldwide, allows Filipino citizens residing or working abroad to exercise their right to vote during national elections. This includes voting for president, vice president, senators, and party-list representatives.

The Consulate encourages community members to take advantage of the extended registration period, especially those who are first-time voters or who need to update their records. Registering early helps avoid last-minute delays and ensures that every eligible Filipino’s voice is counted in the 2028 polls.

For more details on requirements and procedures, the public is advised to contact the Consulate directly at houston.pcg@dfa.gov.ph.
