One detained after incident at Downtown Dallas No Kings protest

DALLAS — Police detained one person during the “No Kings” protest in downtown Dallas on Saturday, authorities said.

Officials have not released the individual’s identity or specified what led to the detention.

Video posted by The Dallas Morning News showed two officers holding a man wearing a hat, sunglasses, and a face covering against a wall along a downtown street.

Reports indicated the detention followed an encounter between demonstrators and counter-protesters during the march.
