PHOENIX, Arizona — San Antonio Spurs rookie Dylan Harper left Sunday’s matchup against the Phoenix Suns after sustaining a left calf injury during the second quarter.

The 6-foot-6 guard appeared to injure himself while attempting to intercept a pass near Suns center Nick Richards. After landing awkwardly, Harper began limping and was immediately taken out of the game for evaluation.

Team medical staff attended to Harper on the sidelines before he was escorted to the locker room. The Spurs have not yet provided details on the extent of his injury or his potential recovery timeline.

Harper, one of the Spurs’ most promising newcomers this season, has earned attention for his strong performances and versatility on the court. His absence could affect the team’s upcoming games as the season progresses.
