Michael Porter Jr. transitioned from the Denver Nuggets to the Brooklyn Nets, where he is adjusting to a larger role under the guidance of Nets coach Jordi Fernandez.

Porter, a 6-foot-10 forward, joined the Nets following a trade in July, which saw Cam Johnson head to the Nuggets.

Fernandez, formerly an assistant coach with the Nuggets, has played a crucial role in easing Porter’s adjustment to his new team and the demands of playing in New York.

The reunion with Fernandez, who is familiar with Porter’s playing style and capabilities, has been beneficial for the 27-year-old player.

Porter has expressed that the previous working relationship with Fernandez during their time in Denver is aiding his adaptation to the Nets and life in Brooklyn.
