LeBron James missed the Los Angeles Lakers’ first practice of training camp on Tuesday due to a minor injury at their training facility in El Segundo, California.
Coach JJ Redick stated that James has a “little bit of nerve irritation in the glute,” following the team’s workout session.
The Lakers are concentrating on managing James’ workload carefully as he is poised to become the first player in NBA history to play 23 seasons.
The regular season opener is scheduled for October 21 against the Golden State Warriors.
Although James may participate in preseason games, the Lakers intend to maintain his health for optimal performance in the playoffs.
