LeBron James has been cleared to resume contact basketball activities as he prepares for his 23rd NBA season with the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Lakers’ medical staff will re-evaluate James within one to two weeks. He has yet to appear in a game or participate in full team practices this season due to sciatica, which forced him to step back from basketball activities.

During his recovery, James focused on individual workouts to maintain conditioning. The Lakers continue their campaign without his on-court presence, while plans are being considered for him to join G League practices during the team’s upcoming road trip.
