The Los Angeles Lakers announced Sunday that Luka Doncic will be out for at least one week after sustaining a sprained finger on his left hand and a bruise on his lower left leg during a recent game.

Team medical staff evaluated the injuries and recommended rest.

The Lakers described the recovery timeline as tentative and said further updates will be provided as needed. Coaches are assessing possible lineup adjustments during Doncic’s absence, which is expected to affect the team’s offensive strategy.

Teammates and fans have expressed support for Doncic as he begins his recovery.
