Tyrese Haliburton made a game-winning 3-pointer with 1.1 seconds remaining to lift the Indiana Pacers to a 120-119 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Tuesday night at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland, Ohio.
The win gives Indiana a 2-0 lead in their Eastern Conference semifinals series.
Haliburton scored 11 of his 19 points in the fourth quarter, playing a key role in Indiana’s comeback. The Pacers closed the game with an 8-0 run in the final 47.9 seconds.
Andrew Nembhard contributed to the late rally by stealing an inbounds pass from Cleveland’s Max Strus with 27.5 seconds left. Indiana initially set up for a game-tying 3-pointer before Haliburton drove inside and drew a foul.
Cleveland, the top seed in the series, played without several key players. The loss marked a missed opportunity to even the series at home.
The series shifts to Indiana for Game 3.
