NEW YORK — Victor Wembanyama delivered a dominant Game 3 performance to lift the San Antonio Spurs past the New York Knicks, 115–111, cutting into the Knicks’ advantage in the NBA Finals.

Wembanyama responded emphatically after a Game 2 miss at the buzzer, scoring 32 points and controlling both ends of the floor in a crucial win that prevented San Antonio from falling into a near-elimination hole.

He set the tone early, scoring nine points in the first five minutes, including an alley-oop to open the game and a quick follow-up dunk. His presence helped the Spurs build an early lead and later sparked a third-quarter surge after the Knicks had tied the game.

A key sequence came late in the third quarter when Wembanyama hit a deep three-pointer to put San Antonio ahead after assisting on a tying basket moments earlier. In the fourth quarter, he continued to anchor the Spurs’ offense and defense, including drawing a foul for key free throws and blocking a late layup attempt by Landry Shamet.

Wembanyama finished with eight rebounds, six assists, and three blocks, showing his all-around impact in a high-pressure Finals setting. His efficiency (11-of-18 shooting) helped silence the home crowd at Madison Square Garden.

The win prevented the Spurs from falling into a 0–3 deficit, a margin no team has ever overcome in NBA Finals history. Game 4 is set for Wednesday in New York, where San Antonio will try to even the series.
