Yang Hansen, a 7-foot-1, 253-pound center from China, is participating in the 2025 NBA Draft Combine in Chicago, showcasing his skills to NBA teams.

During the event, Yang responded to questions in Mandarin and ended his session with a casual “bye bye” in English, demonstrating his openness to learning new languages.

In the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA), Yang averaged 16.6 points, 10.5 rebounds, and 2.6 blocks per game last season. His impressive performance earned him an All-CBA first-team selection, further solidifying his reputation as a standout player.

Yang’s participation in the combine presents a key opportunity for him to join the NBA ranks. NBA teams are closely evaluating his abilities and potential contributions to their squads. His physical stature and on-court skills have drawn comparisons to former NBA star Yao Ming, who also hailed from China.

Scouts and coaches are keeping a close eye on his performance, as his ability to adapt to the NBA’s competitive environment will be crucial in determining his draft prospects. Yang expressed eagerness to improve and compete at a higher level.
