Natalie Portman has welcomed her third child, her first with French musician and producer Tanguy Destable, according to a report from People magazine.
A source told the magazine that Portman gave birth in Paris last month. The actress, 45, has not publicly announced the baby’s name or other details.
The newborn joins Portman’s two children from her previous marriage to choreographer and filmmaker Benjamin Millepied: 15-year-old son Aleph and 9-year-old daughter Amalia.
Portman met Millepied while working on the 2010 film “Black Swan.” They married in 2012 and finalized their divorce in 2024.
Portman later began a relationship with Destable. She confirmed her pregnancy in an April interview with Harper’s Bazaar, marking her first child with the musician.
The Academy Award-winning actress previously described her third pregnancy as a “meaningful experience” and said she experienced it more calmly than her earlier pregnancies.
Portman began her acting career as a child in Luc Besson’s 1994 film “Léon: The Professional.” She gained wider recognition after playing Padmé Amidala in “Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace” in 1999 and reprised the role in the next two prequel films.
She later starred in “Closer,” “V for Vendetta,” “The Other Boleyn Girl” and “Jackie.”
Her performance as a troubled ballerina in Darren Aronofsky’s “Black Swan” earned her the Academy Award for Best Actress in 2011.
Portman has also appeared in Marvel’s “Thor” films and worked as a producer and director. She earned a psychology degree from Harvard University in 2003 while continuing her acting career.
