WASHINGTON, D.C. — A YouTube livestream about investments appeared on the official White House live video page Thursday night for at least eight minutes, raising questions about how the feed was accessed and why it appeared there.

Visitors to whitehouse.gov/live saw the external livestream instead of the usual presidential or administration programming. The White House typically uses the page to stream speeches and events featuring the president and other officials.

Officials did not immediately clarify whether the incident resulted from a technical error, misconfiguration, or outside intrusion. The identity of the YouTube content creator was not disclosed, and authorities did not report any compromise of internal systems, data, or user information.

The livestream ended after eight minutes, and the White House page returned to its normal programming. Officials have not announced an investigation, security review, or coordination with third-party platforms such as YouTube.
