MANILA, Philippines — Pageant fans in the Philippines will witness two major international beauty competitions crown their winners within hours of each other as the Miss Universe and Miss International pageants hold their finals on Nov. 25, Manila time.
The Miss Universe Organization announced Wednesday that the 75th Miss Universe coronation night will take place on Nov. 24 at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico Jose Miguel Agrelot in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Because of the time difference, the pageant will air on the morning of Nov. 25 in the Philippines.
Miss International had earlier announced that its 2026 coronation night will be held on Nov. 25 at Tokyo Dome City Hall in Tokyo, Japan.
The scheduling marks the first time the two major international pageants will stage their finals just hours apart, creating a packed day for pageant followers in the Philippines.
Miss Universe also released its schedule of preliminary events. The National Costume Show is set for Nov. 21 in Puerto Rico, corresponding to Nov. 22 in the Philippines, while the swimsuit and evening gown preliminary competition will be held on Nov. 22, or Nov. 23 in Manila.
American-Filipino activist Bea Millan-Windorski will represent the Philippines at the 75th Miss Universe pageant as she seeks the country’s fifth Miss Universe crown and hopes to succeed reigning titleholder Fatima Bosch of Mexico.
Meanwhile, Davao-born pharmacist Katrina Anne Johnson will compete in Miss International, aiming to win the Philippines’ seventh Miss International title and succeed reigning queen Catalina Duque of Colombia.
