LOS ANGELES — The official Miss Universe Organization Instagram account is back online after nearly a week of unavailability. The account (@missuniverse) went offline on Feb. 19, 2026, alongside the temporary disappearance of accounts belonging to MUO President Raul Rocha and Miss Universe 2023 winner Fatima Bosch.
The pageant’s social media team denied rumors of a change in ownership, assuring followers that leadership and vision remain unchanged. Commenting in Spanish, the account said, “Miss Universe continues exactly as before… more united than ever.”
The MUO has faced controversies since last year’s 74th edition in Thailand, including legal issues involving former CEO Anne Jakrajutatip. Questions were also raised over the transparency of results during the finale, with some judges, including Nathalie Glebova and Filipino singer Louie Heredia, revealing that Bosch was not their top choice.
Despite setbacks, preparations for the 75th Miss Universe pageant in Puerto Rico continue, though host committee demands for more transparency remain under discussion. The MUO said the pageant is proceeding as planned.
