MANILA, Philippines—La Salle basketball player Mike Phillips confirmed his commitment to join the Gilas Pilipinas national team for the Southeast Asian Games after receiving a call from head coach Norman Black.

Phillips, a prominent player from La Salle, agreed to rejoin the team following a victory over the University of the East in the UAAP Season 88 tournament.

He previously played with Gilas Pilipinas in 2023, contributing to their gold medal win in Cambodia.
