San Antonio Zoo introduced a new addition to its animal family, a baby capybara named Tupi.

Born on December 3, Tupi is the first capybara birth at the zoo in over two decades.

Capybaras are the largest rodents in the world, native to South America. They thrive in social groups, often seen in the wild near water sources.

Tupi now joins the ranks of these semi-aquatic mammals at the zoo, living in an environment designed to mimic their natural habitat.
