PARIS — Marta Kostyuk advanced to the fourth round of the French Open on Friday after defeating Viktorija Golubic 6-4, 6-3 at Roland Garros.

The 15th-ranked player extended her winning streak on clay to 15 matches and reached the fourth round in Paris for the second time in her career.

Kostyuk previously reached the same stage at Roland Garros in 2021, where she lost to Iga Swiatek. She is now set for a rematch after Swiatek defeated fellow Pole Magda Linette 6-4, 6-4 in her own third-round match.

Swiatek, a four-time French Open champion, will face Kostyuk in the next round.

Also advancing to the fourth round was Wang Xiyu, who defeated Ukrainian player Yuliia Starodubtseva 6-3, 7-5. Wang has not dropped a set in the tournament so far.

In men’s competition, second seed Alexander Zverev continued his campaign for a first French Open title. Novak Djokovic also remained in contention as he faced Brazil’s João Fonseca in third-round action.

Other scheduled matches included Andrey Rublev against Nuno Borges and Casper Ruud versus Tommy Paul.
