In Rockwall, Texas, authorities have apprehended two individuals in connection with a capital murder case. The Rockwall Police Department confirmed the arrests of 32-year-old Abygail Chaparro and 29-year-old Terry Lacy after a man was discovered with gunshot wounds in a business parking lot.

The incident occurred on October 17, when police officers were dispatched to the 2100 block of Summer Lee Drive shortly after 1 a.m. There, they found a 34-year-old man, later identified as Jean Carlos Iraheta, suffering from gunshot injuries. Despite being rushed to the hospital, Iraheta was pronounced dead.

In the aftermath of the shooting, it was revealed that Iraheta’s truck had been stolen. Authorities located the vehicle in a nearby city the following day. Further investigations led to the identification of another vehicle believed to be involved in the incident. This discovery was key in linking the suspects, Chaparro and Lacy, to the crime.

Both suspects are currently held at the Rockwall County Detention Center, facing charges of capital murder. Details surrounding the events leading up to the shooting have not been released by the police. The investigation remains active as officers continue to piece together the events of the night.

The case has drawn attention to the growing concerns over violent crimes in the area. Residents in the vicinity of Summer Lee Drive expressed their shock and dismay over the incident. Many have described the area as typically quiet, heightening their surprise about the violent occurrence.

Local law enforcement continues to encourage anyone with information to come forward. The Rockwall Police Department has set up a hotline for tip-offs and is working closely with community members to ensure that all relevant information is gathered.

The arrest of Chaparro and Lacy marks a significant development in the investigation, providing a lead that police hope will ultimately bring closure to the tragic event. As the legal proceedings unfold, the community remains vigilant, hoping for a resolution to this unsettling case.

Jean Carlos Iraheta’s death has left his family and friends grieving. As they mourn their loss, they seek justice through the legal system. The case’s progression is closely monitored by both local media and the public, with many eager to see how the judicial process will address the charges against Chaparro and Lacy.

Meanwhile, local organizations and community groups have stepped up to support Iraheta’s family, offering condolences and assistance during this challenging time. The community’s response underscores the solidarity and resilience of its members in the face of adversity.
