Karl Eldrew Yulo’s Cairo World Cup run finishes with two bronzes

MANILA, Philippines — Filipino gymnast Karl Eldrew Yulo capped his campaign at the FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Cup Series Cairo Leg in Egypt with another strong showing.

On Monday (Philippine time), Yulo earned a bronze medal in the horizontal bar final with a score of 13.733 points. China’s Li Hongyan took gold with 14.000, while Cyprus’ Marios Georgiou placed second with 13.900.

The 18-year-old also won bronze in the floor exercise final on Sunday, scoring 14.000. Yulo previously won gold in floor at the Antalya Leg in Turkey on March 14. He is the younger brother of two-time Olympic gold medalist Carlos Yulo.
